The Gem Face is a Germanium transistor fuzz, based on the beautiful simplicity of the classic Fuzz Face circuit.
This version is tweaked with a voltage starve knob. Modified and tweaked for lush and full fuzz tones. Inside is two new old stock germanium transistors, OC45 and AC128.
Built with a mix of up cycled and NOS components in a Gørva design enclosure painted with black and weathered. The tread is made of a composite material made from recycled leather and recycled plastic. The knobs are two beautiful Les Paul type gold knobs, and a black bell knob on the side.
This pedal is negative ground and require isolated power supply. Use standard boss 9v, or similar, (center negative) no battery option.
NOTE: It has a small natural relic chip on the lower right corner as seen in image 2 (let’s call it a birth mark) and is therefore 5% off.
